Lisa Hill will be interviewed by Dale Trimble regarding her participation in the Vancouver Street Retreat this past August. This was the first Zen Peacemaker street retreat held in Vancouver. Pioneered by Roshi Bernie Glassman of the Zen Peacemaker Institute, the Zen Peacemaker retreats have been held since 1991 in many cities around the world - including several in Europe & many in the United States. In Canada retreats have taken place in Montreal, Ottawa & Vancouver and there is a retreat being planned for Victoria (summer 2008).
Come to hear about this form of engaged social action, direct connection with the suffering of others and honorable tradition of compassionate witnessing.
